How To Install Free Maps on Garmin GPS (OpenStreetMap)

Last year, I bought the Garmin GPSMAP 64s and I am super happy with it! Nevertheless it took me some time to notice out how and where I could get the right maps for my new device. I tried a number of different methods but I finally decided this was the right fashion for me.

ane – Download the file

  1. Get to https://www.freizeitkarte-osm.de/ and click on the bottom-left foursquare: Maps for Garmin GPS-Receivers.

  1. Disconnect your GPS from your calculator and power it on.
  2. Go to the Map page.
  3. Click Menu.
  4. Go to Setup Map.
  5. Go to the terminal option: Map Information – Select Map.
  6. Select the map you desire to use, enter and choose Enable.
  7. Y'all can disable the other maps. I practice this, merely to be sure they don't interfere when routing (but this may exist superstition).
